I got rooms at the Fairfield Inn.  It's only 1/2 a block away.  $57/night
through Orbitz.com, but that price was a couple of months ago.  They still
have rooms.

Don just called me from Madison and asked me to post this.

When he booked the convention he was told the hotel would have lots of empty
rooms. Well somebody else has another convention at the same time and the
same hotel now and rooms are scarce.

Don persuaded them to hold the last 5 rooms for us but when they are gone
that is it.

If you want to attend the convention and have not made your rez you need to
do that ASAP,

  a.. Convention Rate: $79 per night plus tax for single or multiple
occupancy, two double beds or King Leisure room - current tax rate is 10.5%,
subject to change

  b.. Parking free, large parking lot, our space is at the west end of the
property adjacent to the convention entrance.

  c.. Facilities: Full service restaurant, Lobby bar, Nightclub, business
center, indoor pool, whirlpool, sundeck, exercise facilities, gift shop,
workstation with dataports, two telephones per room, coffee maker, and more.

  d.. On-site car wash facilities will be available on the north side (back
side) of the building.  Bring your own towels please.

  e.. The Reception, Car SHOw, tech sessions, banquet will all be at the
host hotel.

  f.. How to get there: Take Route 12 off I-90 on the south end of Madison.
Follow this till it goes north and exit at Greenway Blvd West to John Q.
Hammons Drive south, hotel is on the left, can't miss it.

  g.. The hotel has free transportation available from the Madison Airport.
Contact the hotel for arrangements.
