Haven't been online for a few days, and didn't see any responses to this....
I have never seen ATE in a parts store. Maybe a race shop would have it. I
get it mail-order for $10/liter.
I wouldn't use Ford HD DOT3, unless it was on a race car that was flushed
every race weekend. It has great dry #s, but poor wet #s.
Go with Valvoline Synthetic DOT 3/4. Everyone carries it ($5/qt at AZ), and
it has excellent dry/wet numbers:
DRY WET
Ford Heavy Duty DOT 3 550 290
Valvoline Synthetic 502 343

Subject: [Shotimes] ATE/Ford Brake Fluid
Do any brick and mortar chain stores carry ATE brake fluid?
Autozone and O'Reilly's here don't, and NAPA Online (and I assume their
stores) and JR Motorsports and Summit online(no store here anyway) don't - I
see RaceShopper.com has it, but I kind of want it this weekend. I'll try
calling Midwest Motorsports and Jocko's tomorrow.
Other option is Ford Heavy Duty fluid - do dealerships keep this on hand, or
is there somewhere else to walk in and buy it?
