[Shotimes] Do I need a new TPS (95 SHO with 124k miles)???

I recently completed the install of new Motorcraft Plugs and Wires, as well as completely cleaned the intake and all of the other items as outlined on SHOTimes.  Prior to the plug and Wire replacement my Check Engine light would come on during my daily commute.  After reassembling the intake and other components - the light still comes on and the car is now much more response.  I know that the average useful life for a TPS is about 100K - does anyone think it would be worth $80 to replace as another avenue.  I completely cleaned the "port" and related holes in the intake just inside from the throttle body and pulled the plugs on the back and underside of the intake to clean the coke.  I will check the codes again this evening.
