As far as I know, all the backing plates are the same from drum to disc.

89-92 and
93 to present

can you go to the junkyard and get a backing plate from a drum car? I can
bring both versions of the disc backing plate to compare against. To Madison

I'm fairly certain that disc rears started with Gen 2 wagons, since the
Slorider, a
'91, has drums.  It's a GL, so it might be that late Gen 1 LX wagons had
disc rears.

I'd like to convert my wagon to disc rears.  Do Gen 2 rear disc knuckles and
whatever else just bolt on?  That sure would be nice.

Does anyone know?
