[Shotimes] Sctuner and 02 sensors.......

Everytime it seems someone on the forum brings up the sctuner, the flames
start.  Anybody here got any experience with this thing?  Being on the west
coast, we're a little left out regarding all the get-togethers and
racing/dyno/info sharing back east.  But it seems to me that a 5-wire 02
sensor and data logger could be used to really fine tune any mods, rather
than the shotgun approach typically used.  Will the sctuner burn an EPROM,
or enable one to be burned, or do you have to have your laptop hooked up all
the time?  I'm about ready to start modding my '90 ............
