[Shotimes] Removing Front Logo?

Can anyone tell me the best way of removing the Ford emblem (and plastic bar 
on which it is attached) from the grill opening of a 1997 SHO? I have tried 
to go at it from the top and removed nearly twenty screws from the panel that 
covers the radiator, but could not get it to budge. I have checked in the 
modifications section and this topic is not discussed. I would appreciate any 
info on this subject, maybe I should invest in a good shop manual like 
Chiltons or something.
