[Shotimes] Plus hood lighter than OEM steel hood?

This may sound stupid, but the aerodynamics for a Gen 1 would benefit from a
Gen 3 Spoiler.

Aren't spoilers that hang over the sides of the car creating more drag than
down force?

Ever weigh the rear spoiler? I would be surprised if it was
5 pounds. But the benefits are worth a lot more.

At the Atlanta convention (first one) we did laps of Atlanta
Motor Speedway and coming into turn three (now turn one) I
was up to about 118 mph and the back end got a little light!

I think the spoiler might have helped.

I still remember the feeling I had when that happened!
There was a reason the "school was limiting entry speed to
115 that day, but if you got to be tail end charlie and hung
back a little, you could play catch up and get an extra 2-3
mph with a stock SHO, that was enough to make a pretty big
difference. Let me tell anyone that has never done an oval,
that those walls look HUGE and the corner TINY coming in
well over 100 mph. I really got new respect for the NASCAR
guys that "just turn left" all day at 200 mph!
