[Shotimes] Gen 2 Window pillars,weatherstripping and other questions

The pillars are part of he door frame, but they are covered with heavy tape.
Open the door, and you can see the edge of the tape that is wrapped around
about 1/2" on the inside of the door.

In it's previous life, someone had tried to crowbar the door open (dent in
roof, and the B-pillar is nicked/dented). The tape was cut through in a
couple of places. If there weren't dents in the pillar, I would just
re-cover it with another layer of tape. It is heavy-duty stuff. IIRC,
someone on the list got some new tape at a sign shop.

  mine apear to be painted, since they are faded and chipped. THe pillar
also apears to be part of the door frame, and not moulding
