[Shotimes] Re: Gen 2 Window pillars

I guess I'm confused. I guess we've been talking about two different things and I didn't realize it. I was looking at the pillar between the two door openings (part of the body of the car). That's painted. The window frame on the door itself is also painted on mine (and oxidized).

With the marks I have from the attempted break-in, it is obvious that it
is
tape.

Mine has an 11/94 build date and appears to have painted pillars. If it
were tape, there would be a definite tape ledge at the bottom, right? I
can't peel the weatherstripping back enough to see any wrap-around the
edges. I'm imagining that this tape that's mentioned would appear similar
to electrical tape(?)

My build date was 11/94.

I don't believe that Ford would mix-n-match a production process. I just
went out and looked again. There is very definitely a tape edge wrapped
around the inside if the B-pillar door frame.

Doesn't really matter, but if folks are gonna redo it, the tape is a nicer
solution.

Two other '95 owners have reported they have paint, so who knows what Ford
did?
