[Shotimes] tranny mount?

This happens every spring, and chances are it is the ROD
shifter box squeeking on the slide mount. You need to lube
it with a spray under the Car.

This problem sounds something like squeeking a straw in a
plastic lid in an empty cup. Your problem MAY be something
else, but I would try lubing this area first. When you get
all the way under the car, you will see what I mean. Look
for the black box that is the ROD shifter mechanism. ON the
sides you will see the slide mechanism that it rides on as
the motor moves around.

Clean this with WD 40 or similar, then coat with a foamy or
otherwise clinging thicker spray lube.

Since this is open to the elements, you will need to do this
about once a year.
