No, the jury is not out on this one (except maybe in the minds of the SHO
Shop guys). Ford supposedly even ran some durability tests, and determined
that the welded solution would last for something like a million miles, the
pinned solution for 1.5 million, or numbers along those lines.

Of course, the pinning job must be done correctly, and I would surmise that
there is a much better chance at getting a good weld job than a good pin
job.

Doesn't matter whether the car is driven in a "spirited" fashion, the
camshaft issue has nothing to do with that. I haven't been on the V8 list in
about 6 months, but by now there are folks with a lot of miles on their
welded cams.

a welded one?  Driven in a "spirited" fashion?
