Thanks for the replies to my earlier post regarding the new TPS I installed
yesterday.
OK, so I guess I spoke too soon when I said I wasn't getting any trouble
codes after installing the TPS. Today I drove about an hour, getting a CE
light every 5 minutes or so. Ran the codes and sure enough, I got the
following codes:
KOEO:
121 Throttle Position (TP) sensor out of range
124 TP voltage was higher than expected
KOER:
412 (R) Idle speed system not controlling idle properly (generally idle too
low)
121 (again)
Also, the engine is idling around 500 RPM instead of the normal 900-1000
RPM. When I first start it up, I have to hold about 20% throttle to keep the
revs above 1500 RPM or else it will stall. After 2 minutes or so, I can let
off the throttle and proceed normally (except for the low idle).
I'd appreciate any thoughts on possible fixes for the low idle and TPS error
codes.
Thanks in advance,
Nathan
