I've had no problems in over a year and a half with my '97.  The amount the
voltage drops is again dynamic.  It depends on how much load and the
condition/type of battery.  With a normal autostart battery, amp load around
40 A the voltage will drop to under 12V in about 10 seconds or so.  Again
there are a lot of things that will affect this.  My '97 draws ~30A under
WOT and no extra electrical loads (drag strip/dyno mod).  I do recommend a
deep discharge battery but it is not necessary.  I have just  normal battery
on the '93.

The coil is bumping the juice up so the spark is relatively insensitive to
the voltage drop.  PCM innards also run at 5V (I think) and don't seem to be
affected.
