[Shotimes] Help with diagnosis?

My car does the strangest thing.  After first starting the car the first 
acceleration in 2nd and 3rd gear there is a pretty major power loss between 
2k to 4k rpm.  The next acceleration then goes fine with out the same power 
loss.  I'm truly puzzled by the problem.  Is is the BAP, the O2 sensors, a 
vacuum leak? I tried to pull the codes last night and I swear I just can't 
seem to figure out the blinks.  I would not make a good code breaker for the 
military.  Just curious if anyone else can help confirm a diagnosis.  I'm 
getting desperate here and am about ready to take it into the dealership.  
Please advise.
