I just realized you said you tried to go OEM. Ford never had a clue about heavy
duty springs for ANYTHING, much less a Taurus sedan. Also...they don't raise the
rear up much past stock if at all....they just increase your rear cargo capacity, as
they have higher rates per inch of deflection.
You get them from NAPA, or from anywhere that sells Moog Cargo Coils. I don't know
the Moog number, because I deal with NAPA.
The NAPA part number is 277-5216 for the rears, and 277-5263 for the fronts. I have
75,000 miles on my rears, and they do just fine. When the Lowrider retires, it will
get standard leftover springs and struts for its static display in the museum, and
its current set of Tokikos and NAPA springs will go on the Plus from Hell when it is
delivered Another set, which I will ultimately put on the new black car, are
temporarily on the Plus from Hell, as it's original rears were totally shot.
The fronts I have are still in the box, but just give me time......
