IAN Good points .... also .. found out from our service dept that the plug to the mass air have been known to get weak ie loss of voltage.
Since it in part helps regulating the proper fuel/ air ratio .. these will make a car stumble and run as if on a few cylinders ..
Ford has a replacment kit to fix this common problem.
