I went through this when I got a great deal on a hitch in the junkyard.
They torched all the bolts off which I thought would not be a problem.
Wrong! Special bolts,washers, ECT needed! Turns out the hitch U-Haul sells
is made by Valley Industries. They sent me a full install kit free!! Here is
their product list which as you know by now will always exclude the 90-92
SHO.

Why do they say it won't work? I don't know. The product listing has the
same part number for the SHO as for the regular sedan/wagon? It's not the
exhaust as it fits my 93 ATX perfect. Almost hidden with only the receiver
showing. I have the Class II model. They have both class I and class II
hitches.
