My Craftsman impact was made by IR.  It says so right on the gun.  It looks
exactly like the IR, but was $10 less.  Warranty was better.  It is the top
of the line Craftsman.  Sears carries several levels of impacts.  If you
want a cheap one they have it.  If you want a good one they have it.  I am
very pleased with mine.  Had it about 3 years now.
