[Shotimes] Tires - 235/55-16's

There was already a post on the inadvisability of using a 235 tire on a 6"
wide rim, but the other issue has to do with the speedo error.

Many SHOs have a tendency to under-read about 3% on the speedo. A 225/55
tire is similar to the 215/60 in diameter, so it will preserve the stock
situation...which could be the 3% error. A 235/55 tire will most likely be
taller, so it will increase the error to more than 3% low. Not a real issue,
as long as you know how your speedo reads.

Years ago, it took getting a couple of 81-in-a-65 tickets before I realized
that my '89 was running 81 mph when I thought I set the cruise at 79 mph.

It's worth the time to check your speedo & odometer readings with a
stopwatch, or against the interstate mileage signs.

Will 235/55-16 tires fit my '95 SHO on the slicer rims? I was looking to get
wider tires and not to offset the speedo much.
Thanks.......
