[Shotimes] rod bearings

Didn't you get two little tubes of black RTV when you bought the oil pan
gasket kit? Just get automotive RTV silicone (not the stuff you put around
your bathtub!!)

Run it down those grooves, then around the holes. Don't be stingy!! Make
sure it mates up with the rubber end seals.

You may also get some of the tacky spray stuff (or use a bit of rubber
cement as I did) to hold the rubber end seals in place while you maneuver
the pan to reinstall it. They like to move around on you.

Another couple stupid questions. What kind of silicone do I use on the
oil pan sides where there is no gasket? Where do I place the bead
exactly? There are some grooves right down the middle stopping before
the bolt holes. Do I just run it right thru these and around the bolt
holes?

Thanks!

Kerry
