235/55-16 is even more of an oddball size. A search at tirerack.com shows:

215/60 - 50+ choices, but all of them all-season, no perf tires

235/55 - 10+ choices, but all of them all-season, no perf tires

225/55 - 70+ choices, from max perf to touring to snow tires

I thought the reason we were using the 225/55 was because it's a popular
size used by a lot of cars. Whereas our 215/60 size was used by the SHO and
very few other cars.

Side note: with 215/60s I lowered the car to fill the wheel wells and it
looked great. Then you guys tell me to go with the (shorter) 225/55s and
I'm back to where I started. The tire height is a little small for my
tastes but the handling is great!! This is the first time I've had a set of
tires that actually made such a difference in handling.
