[Shotimes] Metal gasket?

That's the one.

How do explain the oil seeping past there?  I can lay under there when I
first shut off my car and actually watch oil bead up there and drip out!

You think it's coming from above?  What would be there, the rear main?

You mean the metal plate between the transmission and the motor?

I don't know what it's called, but it's not a gasket and wouln't cause
leaks.
