[Shotimes] Tranny noise

Stupid follow up.  Are just the teeth on the flywheel re-surfaced?  The
main plate of the flywheel looked untouched and kind of rusty.  The
angled part of the teeth looked fresh (bare metal).

Mark N. - I bet questions like mine drive you nuts, don't they?  Once
again though - your 60k video made it possible for me to muster up the
confidence needed to deal with this car I got myself into!!  And, I'm
actually loving every minute of it.  Even though I'm driving the AWA
more nuts than myself :-).  Thanks again and good work.

I should know this, but is there a tranny (clutch) video out now??
Would this shed some light on this area for me??  I crack myself up - I
want to put a Quaife in but I don't really even understand what it will
do for me.  Now that's bad!! :-).

Thanks!  Once I find out who did the clutch job, I can at least ask a
relevant question - "did you loctite the pressure plate bolts??"  Even
though I still have no idea what the pressure plate is, it's a start.

    As a reassurance, with a SHO, unfortunately, it can be assumed that
a
lot to most places you take it to have no clue about its quirks or
differences from a "normal" car.  Before I started working on my car, I
didn't know a single thing about most car stuff other than terms here or
there.  Now I have almost taken apart most of the drivetrain to remove
the
tranny on my girlfriend's '94 MTX.  It wouldn't be having a failing
clutch
if someone would have simply checked the manuals and seen that the
pressure
plate bolts NEED to be Loctite-d in order to prevent them from backing
out.
I'm guessing that the job was done fairly recently before the car was
purchased off a dealer lot.  It only has 82k on the clock.

    The satisfaction from repairing things is a pretty neat benefit,
too.
Though I'm rather frustrated that my '95 decided to pop the 2nd coolant
hose
this week (ThrottleBody heater hose).  With both cars down, I have to
rely
on friends to help me get my parts, LOL.

    By the way, to resurface the flywheel means that it has been
smoothed
out so that the surface is flat and is supposed to be even.  It's done
as
opposed to replacing a flywheel due to wear.

want to get my SHO into tip-top shape ASAP!
