Thanks - it turns out that the high pressure switch was leaking and needs to
be replaced, so it needs a professional suck down and refill.

Mark,

I stopped following the a/c post and don't know where you ended up but
AutoZone has a/c gauges in its rent-a-tool program. You leave a credit card
deposit when you pick it up and they refund the card when you bring it back.
