The price is a little high!! 

I'd print out the V8SHO.com website where is talks about the cam failure and 
the transmission problems.  Then go back to the guy/dealership and offer him 
$4,500.00 for it.  It's going to cost you about $1,000.00 for the cam weld and 
general maintenance.  Get the transmission fluid changed ASAP, and keep it 
changed every 10,000 miles.  Install an external Transmission cooler - U-haul 
does them for about $100.00.  

The V8SHO list is a good source of information!!
