[Shotimes] Sunroof seal replacement kit question

What was the part number for the seal kit, how much was it and did you get
it direct from Webasto?

'93 MTX has needed a sunroof seal for 170,000 miles!

For anyone who has used the Ford sunroof seal kit. In addition to the
replacement seal, there is a 18" - 24" piece of rubber strip. It is about
1/4
inch wide with a slight bow/curve ( ...to it. Any idea what this is for?

The service manual doesn't say anything about it and of course there is no
instruction sheet with the kit.
