Ahhh....but therein lies the problem.....

They will not replace the rear fender. As an example, this is one of the
reasons they totaled Ryan Dudek's '97 when he rolled it.

The Gen 3s have the one-piece side stamping from the firewall to the rear
bumper....it is replaced as one piece.

They won't do as they did on George's car where they cut off a rear clip and
weld it in....it's the whole enchilada or nothing.

Get the $$$ for the repair and get it done yourself!!

Subaru dealer is in Peoria, they missed it entirely...sorry!  ;)

I think my car had some minor hail damage before I bought 
it, a couple of tiny dings in the hood were there when i 
bought it, but they were where they could not get with the 
paintless dent removal.  They never bothered me.

By the time they replace the fender, both door skins and 
rear fender, it might equal the value, but who knows.  I'll 
just wait for State Farm to call.  They will be busy for weeks.
