Does Japan use E-Code or DOT headlights?  (I sent an email to the SHOclub
Japan and asked them the same question)

Dave,

There were Gen 2 Taurus's exported to Japan.  That is where
the Mystic paint came from, Japan wanted it, and Ford used
it later on the Mystic Mustang and 94 Silver Frost.

that is also where the clear lenses came from for the later
SE versions.
