Peter, I assume the $500 was what he was going to give you to tow it away?
()drum roll....)  Anyway I'd stay far away from this example, unless your
dad owns a Ford dealership.  You'll be cursing the day you ever heard of it,
as you spend every spare nickel on repairs, and wondering if it will get you
where you're going and back.  A normally maintained SHO engine is barely
broken in at 113K miles; this one may have 213k on it.  Stick around and you
will find a lot of examples that are quite nice for less than $2-3K, and
won't cost you that much again just to get running.
