At the risk of a simplistic answer, any SHO that sees any street duty
has enough power over 6K, and would benefit from more power below 5K.
Sacrificing torque under 5K to get more top end is useless and
counterproductive......unless you like to only run the car at the Silver
State Classic. A fatter midrange would not only make the car feel
quicker, it will also quarter-mile much better.

FWIW, after a bunch of research, I put a chip in my 911 whose only
mission in life was to help the torque between 1-4K. The car is a lot
more streetable, plus it can run 13.98 at 102 in stock trim even though
it's heavier as a cabriolet, with me driving (who is no lightweight),
fore a car that was only rated mid 14s at best.
