[Shotimes] clutch pedal issues

I think my car has fallen victim to some "spirited driving"
that I did last week.  The end result is that I believe I
need a new clutch cable.  Pedal release has gone from
right off the floor to the top portion of pedal travel.  I
think I may have stretched the cable or something.  Or it
could have been that way before and I made it worse.

Anyways, in addition to the cable, when the pedal is at
rest it sticks up further from the floor than the brake
pedal.  I don't recall it doing that before.  Anybody seen
this before?  Is there some kind of stop that may have
broke off or something?

I just had a new clutch installed a few months ago, BTW.
