[Shotimes] (OT) VW Towing Screw-up!!

Guys on the 911 list are considering used Cayennes a few years down the
road. Many of them tow their cars to the track, and with the 7K# towing
capacity, it would make a nice tow vehicle. The VW has the same towing
capacity as the Cayenne.

At the bottom of that article, it appears that VW is going to make amends
to those buyers that are unable to use the vehicle for such a purpose.

One of my friends here just bought an X5.  The guy would probably have
bought a used Boxter S or Carrera if he didn't have a boat to tow.  So he
has a practical reason for owning an SUV.  His biggest complaint about the
BMW is the $1200 that the dealer wanted to install a BMW tow package.  The
U-Haul equivalent isn't nearly as nice but does the job at less than half
the cost.
