[Shotimes] Heating Problem

What I was referring to was a mod that someone did that allowed the heater
core to be removed without pulling the whole dash. They cut and resealed
things in a fashion that allowed the core removal from under the dash.

Ron:
I have not heard of this but the plastic heater box has to be cut in a
certain way to remove the core. The Helm shop manual shows where to make the
cuts. The core and plastic box are installed as one piece. You then reseal
the area you cut open after installing the new core.

Shaun:
Heater cores are available in Aluminum or brass. My original in my 93 was
Aluminum but the aftermarket replacement was brass. It's been fine for
several years and 45K miles or so.
