[Shotimes] OT GTP's - was squeak in left side of dash

If you could put a roots type blower on a SHO (V6 or V8) it'd turn the
same kind of times that the GTP turns. The problem is, no on makes one.
They're all centrifugal types that further enhance the high-rpm nature
of the SHO engine. Low torque-high RPM engines in a FWD platform are a
real bear to get good 1/4 times with due to the launch. You either smoke
'em or bog.
The GTP is a neat car - one that I've been toying with the idea of
buying. But, they are a totally different 'experience' than the SHO.
It's all low RPM grunt vs the high winding, overall flatter torque curve
of the SHO. But I have to admit to being tempted to go get one and see
what I can get it to do!

Well that and you can build a streetable GTP that will kill almost
anything!! Take a look at the new issue of Hot Rod magazine. 11.5 sec in
the
1/4 mile for a street car is awesome for any car. Too bad Hot Rod didn't
publish the cost to build the car. I wish the SHO could be modded to
extreme levels but they don't seem to deliver the low quarter mile
times?
