If I were going to build a new one today, I'd go with a V8 like the V8
SHO, but use the 3.0 Duratech block as a starting point instead of the
2.5 like they did with the current V8 (looking to get somewhere around
4.0 liters). Shoot for 350hp minimum with a 6spd. Leave Yamaha out of it
this time and have Ford do it all (the V8 was mostly Ford anyhow) -
keeps cost down and might actually have other uses besides the SHO
(which could mean a better aftermarket). Ford showed that they can make
a good set of heads/cams/intake with the SVT Contour (not to mention the
Cobra).

choose?  Does one exist or would it have to be designed?
