The 300 HP SHO motor never existed. Even if it did, you wouldn't want it in
a 3,400# sedan with the tall gearing that the SHO has.

Ok, ok, so call me the rookie here. What happened to
the 300 hp engine Yamaha originally produced for SHO?
Did Ford make them redesign it? Or do all the engines
have some "downgrading" kit on them to keep the hp
down? My dad's '69 Mach 1 has a 351 Windsor, which has
been around for years upon years. Everyone he's talked
to tells him to put sumthing bigger/better in there.
But he still keeps it, saying he can get it to do some
things that the bigger engines can't. DOn't know if it
has something to do with the weight of the smaller
block or what. IMHO, a 300 hp V6 designed in the Mid
80's was some piece of work...so why not start with
the original design and go from there?????
