Lots of known issues with the 3.8/auto-
Head gaskets are a big problem and if not repaired fairly quickly can 
lead to damaged rod bearings/crank,
and the added torque of the 3.8 recks havoc on the auto transaxles.  
Also a real pain to work on,  the SHO motor
is easier to work with.  For a winter beater tauri try to find a 3.0 
vulcan, less torque but much more reliable.
