There are "resonators' that muffler shops can put in, but they are basically
straight-through glasspack mufflers. Find the longest and fattest one
(glasspack or resonator...whatever the shop calls it today) that will fit in
the space ahead of the bend over the rear axle. Some people have even gone
to two smaller ones welded in to fill that area. I had one that a muffler
shop called a Turbo Tube that was put in my '95 for $21 (by the previous
owner). It was quite fat, and even though I called the shop and checked
everywhere on the internet, I could not find the brand. That was the
resonator that made the cheap glasspack mufflers sound GREAT.

I've read on the list previously that the key to a great sounding exhaust
note on the V6 is a decent resonator. OK, so what brand (or specification)
of
resonator would fill the bill? Where to get, etc. Oddly enough that was
never
addressed. (at least not in the past year)
