Which Yokohamas? There a number of different models. I will use Tire Rack
prices for all recommendations.

Also keep in mind that 15" tires with any performance pretenses are getting
scarce.

Yoko AVS DB2, 215/65/VR15, $73 (recommended all-season Yoko)

Yoko AVID HR4, 215/65/HR15, $62 or AVID VR4, 215/55/VR16, $87

Dunlop SP Sport A2, 215/65/HR15, $66 (I had this tires predecessor, the
D60A2, on my lace wheels on my '89 as winter tires, and loved them!)

BFG T/A HR4-2, 215/60/HR15, Closeout Price, $60

Continental Conti Touring Contact CH95, 215/60/HR15, $62 (had these on my
former '95, they were OK)

Bridgestone Potenza RE950, 215/60/15, $83 (SHO guys love these)

These are about the lowest-performance tires that I would consider on a SHO.
There are others that a tire guy can sell you that are cheaper, but you will
sacrifice dry & wet handling. Overall, I generally would not consider a tire
with a Treadware Rating over 400. That means don't get sucked in by tires
with very high mileage guarantees like 50K miles or ore. You lose tire
performance with the rock-hard rubber they use to get the mileage.

Of this group, I would recommend the AVS DB2 and the RE950 as 1st choices,
with the SP Sport A2 in 2nd place, and the rest in 3rd place.

I will copy the list, also

Hi, I am looking for a mid range price tire, that will be used all seasons,
put on basket rims. I use the car as my family car, lots of highway
traveling. I live in Hampton, VA, where we don't get much snow, but is
usually rainy in the winter. Thanks
Doug

I have BF Goodrich Comp TA's on my Mustang which I like for that
application. They handle good, and give good tread life. The local
Goodyear store is trying to sell me a set of Yokohama's which I have no
experience with.
