I have a 352 in my '66 Galaxie. If I ever get around to that project, it will get an aluminum intake, at the very least. Heavy as hell, but a real tank.

I have a 352 in my 1959 Thunderbird. Boy the FE is a heavy engine!! I think
it's over 700 lbs total. Great motor for the 1950's but I saved about 70-90
lbs just by using an Aluminum intake manifold!! The original long block went
over 200K miles! Shocking amount of difference between that car and the SHO
in build quality. Hard to believe the same company made them both!!

two SHO motors and an old Ford FE series big block. The intake manifold on
the FE weighs something on the order of 150lbs, so I don't even want to
guess what the complete motor weighs. No prob for the stand.
