" Updates only take like 3-5 min versus the 45 min for Norton or MacAfee"
What?? What do you have, 24KB dial-up modems at work?? If a Norton update
takes longer than a couple of minutes on my DSL line, it's a big update!
I'm sure that any of the major AV software packages work just fine. I happen
to like Norton AV because I also use the other Norton packages, and I feel
that Symantec does a great job.
Maybe it's just me being the naturally cynical type, but I would not trust
my home PCs....much less our business network.....to a "free" AV package. I
have an immediate suspicion that it will not be as good as something that
people pay for......it's like "what's the catch"????
And there ALWAYS is a catch

I've used both Norton's and MacAfee and they are both
good but hands down AVG AV from Grisoft beats them all
and best of all it's 100% free, the program and
updates! Here is the link:
http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php
It is an easy install but you must uninstall any AV
you currently have. Updates are automatic every 14
days or sooner if you want. Updates only take like
3-5 min verus the 45 min for Norton or MacAfee. It is
simple to use and catches viruses, worms, back door
apps, etc etc. We use it at work and have never had a
problem but it has caught a bunch of stuff before it
gets on. It eliminates them no problem. Works just
like Nortons and MacAfee except it is free no more
programs to buy, upgrades to buy, or subscriptions to
buy. this is all free and it works.
