[Shotimes] shifter cable problems

Actually, we seemed to find that full Plus cars started getting built in
April and were getting the rod shifter (Mallinson's Mocha is an April car,
IIRC).

Also, and I know I'll be corrected!, but weren't all of the full Plus cars
built from April forward (the ones with the Plus package described on the
window sticker) all rod shifter cars, but that there were a number of SHOs
built earlier that had various bits & pieces of the Plus package (like the
hood) that still had cable shifters?

Yea, sounds like he has a rod shifter.  Not all plus models came with a rod
shift however- sometime in May '91 Ford switched over, plus's built before
then had a cable shifter. (ie my green 91+ and a black 91+ I parted last
spring)
