it's an 88 and black with grey/black cloth interior.at around 156,000 the
first TFI/PIP sensor combo failed and of course left me along the
highway.the rear pinion seal and bearings went at around 310,000 so i had
to have my local shop rebuild that part of the rear.thank god i caught it in
time so no harm came to the gears cause it was pretty loose and making one
hell of a noise.the track loc only loc's on a full burn-out,but i guess
that's only normal for the mileage.the turbo is now slowly going, but will
still boost 18 psi no problem.it just leaks some oil in the rubber tube
between the meter and turbo.rust is starting to rear it's ugly face now so i
have to make a decision to keep or send it to the junk yard.motor will get
around 25 on the highway and about 18 in town.other than that it has been
reliable and still runs/drives nice and straight.i just like my SHO so much
it doesn't get driven very much anymore.the SHO is also easier to get my 6
yr old son in and out of and he likes the way it smokes the tires LOL!i also
had a red 86 turbo coupe, but retired that at 226,540.i kept the motor and
rebuilt it for the black one.now just to decide if i'm gonna swap motors or
else.BOB FISHER
