[Shotimes] electronic brake bleeder

IIRC, Tom bought it through CDOC (after I posted that link awhile back), and
bought a lot of it, splitting the order with a neighbor, and he got the
better price for the quantity. He also got some other gifts from CDOC.

Last I checked, Summit doesn't carry it. FWIW (and I can't say that I've hit
every site on the internet!!) but that $8.95/can is the best I've seen, and
the extra discount for higher quantities that they offer is better yet.

COUGH>>>>>>>. If you went to the track with us in the Spring and fall you
could get it even cheaper.. Wheres Tom S? I think Summit sells it for
5.95.. They also have the Castrol SRF for like 80 bucks :)

I have used just about 1 large ATE can ( I think they are a liter) to flush
the entire system. I like the ATE fluid because I can alternate color and
know when the new fluid has filled the line and the caliper. The cans can
be purchased for 8 bucks a piece at a discount; I figure with all of the
other stuff I waste money on paying three dollars more for a liter of brake
fluid is nothing.

Okay, I just ordered a pressure bleeder. Gonna be "Bleedin' Brakes R Us"
around here soon.

If I buy brake fluid in the larger bottles, how many does it take to do one
car? To do the whole fleet, I should probably buy a case anyway...

Thanks for the advice.

Don't think the unit can replicate someone pumping the brake pedal for a
flush!!

Once I go the vacuum bleeder a few years ago, I couldn't believe that I
waited that long before getting away from the two-person-pump-the-pedal
operation, and the pressure bleeder works better yet....and doesn't need a
compressor.

OTOH, It appears that the abs pump could be left running for awhile, with
the solenoids open, and it would move fluid through the system.....sorta
making an automated bleeding process. Wonder if the abs pump is up for
running for an extended period.
