[Shotimes] OT: Sorry Ron

Are you saying that AOL offers DSL, but SBC doesn't? rue, that makes no
sense, as AOL must use the SBC lines and COs for the equipment. I would get
on SBC about that, as I don't see how that could be. I've had SBC (started
as Ameritech) DSL for 2.5 years now, but it took them 6 months to determine
if I could get it or not. A week after I got a letter saying that Ameritech
had no DSL service to my area, I got a call saying hat it was available!
Comcast cable broadband is now also available, but the DSL has been quite
dependable....much more so than our Comcast cable TV.

There are the Juno & Netzero accounts for about $10/month, but you have to
pay more for more features, I believe. Same with MSN, IIRC.

SBC bought out Prodigy a few years back, so my dial-up ISP became SBC,
although they retained the Prodigy email IDs. I also have the SBC DSL ISP
that comes with the service, but I still pay the annual fee to have the SBC
Dial-Up ISP service, as I want a full ISP when I travel. Actually, both of
the SBC ISP services have proven to be very good for service and
dependability. I was concerned at first because Prodigy was a great,
well-regarded ISP, but SBC has done fine. You might consider getting SBC
Dial-up to complement your AOL broadband.

Yahoo - I use it as my backup. Ron I'd love to ditch AOL but nobody else,
and
this just baffles the F&&*( outta me, can provide DSL in my area. Go Figure.
Open a Yahoo account you'll get everything, but you gotta check it like
every
day. You will chew through 4MB real fast.
