[Shotimes] (OT) Got the Harbor Freight torque wrenches

You have to get them tested. Didn't want to clog the list with the long
thread on the 911 Rennlist about it, but many wrenches get out-of-spec over
time. Best bet is to take care of it, as in resetting it to the lowest level
for storage, don't drop it, and don't use it to loosen bolts/nuts.

I give up - how do people know that their better torque wrenches are out of
spec?

Very true. Lug nuts are not that critical, as long as all are cinched to the
same spec somewhere in the 85-100 #s range, you are good to go.

Although, from the experiences of guys on the other lists, these wrenches
are not any better/worse than wrenches costing a lot more wrt remaining
consistent. I will now tend to check it more often than I did in the past,
especially since I have never carried my other torque wrench around in the
car.
