I decided that since I never been across the desert in a car, I want to
drive it :). Im going down to Tulsa in late June and leaving my plus there,
flying home for a few weeks then flying back in to Tulsa driving to Dallas,
and meeting Kerby's group.

Fred Herder Jr. mentioned at the banquet in Madison that there ought to be
truckers
who would load their car carriers up and charge for the whole load, divided
by the
number of cars on the truck. The total amount was something like $3K one
way, which
would be about 3 or 4 hundred apiece, which is pretty close to the cost of
driving
across country one way.

I was going to investigate this possibility, and still will, but the
home-front
alligators are still occasionally pretty fierce. I'm working on them, and
on the
convention.

I can (and have been meaning to) call the folks that shipped my car to Mark
Nunnally
and ask them about bulk shipping possibilities. They are very friendly.
