[Shotimes] Brake Pads revisited

I believe Ron is correct. The main advantage of the ceramic (AFAIK) is
to cut down on noise. Raybestos Quiet Stop pads are "ceramic". They
are not as high performance oriented as their "Brute Stop" carbon
metallic pads.

Actually I'll be interested in your observations, as my understanding is
that the ceramic pads are low noise, low-dust, low performance-type pads
for soccer-mom cars.

Not to be confused with the all-ceramic $20K+ brake setups (including
rotors) on Porsches and other cars.

I was just looking back over the SHOtimes pages on brakes and I noticed
that there was no reference made to ceramic brake pads.

Anyone have experience with these?

Just put on ceramics all the way around and haven't had time to form an
opinion yet. _______________________________________________
