Was the noise consistent at about one per wheel revolution? Did it increase
or decrease in frequency with engine RPM? Give us some more info and we'll
see if we can figure this one out.

Subject: [Shotimes] Wierd noises?

I was pulling out into traffic the other day, and had to gun it to go
uphill to beat traffic. Anyway, I immediately heard a "bang-bang-bang"
noise
that sounded rather like a loose belt. Every once in awhile I noticed a
high-pitched squeal that sounded like brake noise. The bang-bang-squeal
lasted
about 2-3 minutes or so and was mostly when I was going up the hill.
My engine temp. remained OK and I have not had a reoccurrence of the
sound since then (yesterday). Does anybody know what could have caused
that?
Looking into the hood, all the belts seemed to be in their right places.
Maybe she just protested my hauling ass for that particular moment??
