If you're familiar with California plates, you know that the 4TGF prefix is fairly recent.  The new plates I put on my Bronco a few years ago before I sold it began with 4LJB.  All it really means is that the plates were replaced recently, but that would also be the case if the car was brought in from another state.  Yes, it sure does look nice.  I'm just a born skeptic.

Not sure how someone could determine that the plates were 
from 2000 (implying the car hasn't been driven since then) 
the pictures show a CA plate, but I guess you would have to 
know the exact style of plate, and how often they are 
changed and if the RED sticker is current.

The car still looks pretty darn nice to me!
